Meet the Strategy Team


The Strategy Team’s mandate is to ensure that Movable Ink brings vertical-specific best-in-class strategies to our clients to drive our clients’ C-level goals - with Movable Ink Technology.

The Strategy Team works directly with a select group of our top clients as an added value service on a variety of engagement models including The Accelerate Program, Innovation Forums, and Strategic Jump Start Programs among other models all with the goal of solving complex strategic business challenges with applications of the Movable Ink platform.

Our team is comprised of former clients and partners who leverage their first hand experiences managing marketing programs to inform their engagements with our clients.

Alison Lindland, SVP of Strategy

Alison joined the Movable Ink as the 14th employee in 2012. She spent six years on and ultimately leading the US-based Client Experience Team with a specific focus on Financial Services and Retail clients developing innovative, business critical programs for some of the largest and most successful marketers in the country.

Prior to Movable Ink she worked at American Express on the Email and Mobile Team. Before attending Columbia Business school she worked in SaaS ticketing and marketing for Broadway Shows at OvationTix, having started her career at OgilvyInteractive on the Goldman Sachs account.

Alison is passionate about helping Movable Ink clients leverage the technology to help achieve their goals. She’s developed a team of vertical specific strategists, primarily composed of former clients and partners who are marketers themselves, to bring this service to clients and leads them across industries and regions.

Julio Lopez, Director/Practice Lead, Retail

Julio has worked across multiple Mar-Tech SaaS companies whose integrated solutions focused on driving digital innovation for retailers, including Cheetah Digital, RevTrax and Eversight. During his tenure at these organizations, he worked closely with brands like Men’s Wearhouse, Cost Plus World Market, Hallmark, Sherwin Williams, and Carrefour. While at Experian CheetahMail (now Cheetah Digital) he worked on strategic email program development and deployment. At RevTrax he worked closely with the executive team to manage the evolution of the product, define go-to-market strategies, and led the Customer Experience organization. Julio also helped establish and lead the penetration into the European market for Eversight, whose software helps drive pricing and promotion strategies for retailers.

Julio’s expertise and love for retail has kept him focused on the vertical - he joined Movable Ink as a founding member of the Strategy team as an Associate Director focusing on Retail, continuing to add to his 10+ years of experience in Retail Services.

ELLE KROSS, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/PRACTICE LEAD, TRAVEL, HOSPITALITY & FOOD SERVICES

Elle started her career in travel—working at TravelClick, an Amadeus company, where she led B2C marketing, PR, events, and email development for the Guest Management Solution. She later moved into Financial Services where she worked in ECM marketing, B2B marketing, and communication strategy. Focusing on communication strategies across verticals gave Elle the unique insights of how important personalized and timely communications are for clients, and wanted to bring the functionality to improve customer experiences and achieve business goals to all of Movable Inks clients.

She initially joined the Strategy team focusing on clients within Financial Services. As COVID-19 was just emerging Elle jumped in to support our Travel & Hospitality clients and witnessed some truly innovative and impactful personalized marketing emerge during one of the hardest periods in memory for the category overall. Shortly after, she took on the role of Practice Lead for the vertical.

Jacqueline Mattia, Director/Practice Lead, Financial Services

Jacqueline joined Movable Ink from Citi’s Global Consumer Bank, where as SVP, Analytics and Information Management, she led a team that oversaw Citi's customer data platforms and martech solutions. Prior to Citi, Jacqueline was an Account Director with Cheetah Digital/Experian Marketing Services, where she partnered with financial institutions to develop the strategy and execution of their email marketing programs.

Jacqueline has spent her career working with, and for, financial services organizations. She understands the complexities of the organizations and how email can help achieve senior-level goals. In 2019, she joined Movable Ink as Associate Director on the Strategy team focusing on clients within Financial Services.

Naveen Wall, Associate Director/Practice Lead, Media & Technology

Naveen has spent the majority of her career in Media & Technology focused on CRM. Most recently, Naveen drove high visibility subscriber engagement programs at SiriusXM. She partnered with Movable Ink to power sophisticated real-time personalization strategies to increase streaming behavior, and promote customer engagement and retention. Prior to SiriusXM, Naveen led the Global CRM team at Shutterstock where she worked cross-functionally to deliver lifecycle programs to nurture and accelerate the growth of their customer base.

Naveen has a long history with Movable Ink extending to the start of her career at e-Dialog (now Radial) where she managed production and deployment of email programs for British Airways and leveraged Movable Ink technology to drive innovation. She knew she wanted to join the organization she loved working with and found the perfect fit as Associate Director on the Strategy team focusing on Media & Technology.

Rachel Cowlishaw, Associate Director, Retail

Prior to joining Movable Ink, Rachel worked on the client-side in a variety of marketing and CRM roles within the luxury retail space. She joins us from Neiman Marcus, where she oversaw Personalization and CRM Marketing across email, SMS, and mobile app. Most recently, she led a cross-functional agile team focusing on A/B testing and scaling personalized customer experiences and omnichannel journeys across stores and online. In addition she played an integral role in the enhancement of their MarTech stack, consolidating customer data and integrating vendor partners into a CDP. Rachel now oversees North America retail accounts for Movable Ink’s Strategy team.

Becki Francis, Associate Director, Retail (EMEA)

Prior to joining Movable Ink, Becki worked client-side in a variety of marketing and CRM roles within retail. She joins us from Revolution Beauty, where she managed the brand’s digital marketing activity and global retention strategy. Prior to that, Becki led the CRM team at House of Fraser, focussing on the rollout of a series of highly automated lifecycle programs. It was in this role that Becki first worked with Movable Ink, using the platform to drive process efficiencies and 1:1 personalization at scale through the email channel. Becki now leads our retail strategy practice in EMEA.
